Hi all~! I'm super happy and excited I just saw the release of episode 8 of GSD remastered and I must say...Fukuda (or whoever was the brains behind this) did an awesome job! They have redeemed themselves (for now anyways..). I was so happy As you know, episode 8 is the episode where Athrun gives Cagalli a ring, which is his way of proposing to her. The original scene was cute, then they changed it in the special edition..which took away the cuteness, but it made it more mature and less awkward in that scene. And..the remastered made it better! I loved it. Once I can get my hands on the episode, I'll be making a nice little animation of this newly redrawn scene I would say this new scene is definitely better than the special edition's version for sure. I'll show you a brief comparison of the ring scene (warning: spoiler alert!)

This is the hug they shared before they kiss. In the original, they hug (left image). In the special edition, there is no hug but a kiss on the cheek instead. In the remastered, they hug, but it has more emotion compared to the hug in the original scene. I don't want to spoil the rest of this scene to all you AsuCaga fans who haven't seen the episode yet, so here's the video:
